The lunchbox phenomemon began in the 1950s, the daytime equivalent of the TV dinner. Aladdin and American Thermos were the two main manufacturers, and the boxes themselves were a billboard for popular culture. Prices vary widely depending on subject, visual appeal, rarity and condition - do your homework so you don't get your lunch eaten.
