So, I've taken the currency from the last two posts, and tucked them away with my mother's collection of notes and coins, which includes these.

This is a small 1923 dated 25 cent note that my mother's uncle gave her when she was a little girl. At the time he called it a "shin plaster." Mom has kept it ever since.

Although my life's interest has been military antiques, my grandmother started a coin and currency collection that was passed on to my mother, who continued to add to it. At this point mom is in her 80s, and although the collection is still hers, I've become custodian/caretaker of the collection, and have begun adding things I've acquired here and there, since it will eventually all end up with me anyway.

Hey CW, no categories for non-US currency???

LOL......Yeah no category for NON US-currency.....unless world coins, but these are not coins. So I am not sure where you put them.

Maybe when Prince William becomes King we can petition to persuade his wife Catherine to pose on our new currency like the woman on that 25-cent note...

I should mention that you make want to investigate the legality of scanning/photographing this currency. The centennial dollar is still considered legal tender and those photographs may infringe on current Bank of Canada policies:

I just deleted the centennial dollar. I wouldn't want to mess with the Bank of Canada!

You can take pics of them....can't ya...like to post here? But not photocopy them on a Color Photocopier....and then use those image here....??

As how do those ""coin collecting sites "" then have images ( photos) of coins, and bills asking questions on their money? Just wondering.

Is a Plain old Photo of it Okay??

Antiquerose, it's all explained in the 3-page PDF that I supplied the link to in comment #4.

      It's a minor thing, I'm sure.

Thanks for the love NanaM, Manikin, Kydur, blunder, antiquerose and ttomtucker!
