I picked this up because I thought that maybe it was showing the 3 main World Powers on the Allies' side either during or just after WW1.

It is unmarked, but there seems to be a post-production V on it-- possibly for Victory?

The backing is paper, which I mostly removed to see if it hid any company; but it did not, so I put it back.

Anyone know much on this piece?

It now hangs above me, stuck into the fabric bottom of the upper bed on this bunk.

I don't know any more then what you wrote however I think you are correct on all counts and yes the V was used widely for Victory it looks to be in great condition in all a very nice find, The back paper I'm guessing is Whitehead & Hoag
