Awesome ugly vacuum is what the price tag side. What it is Hoover Model 700 Vacuum. These were made from 1926 through 1929.
Sadly this one seems to be left in an area where it was subject to a great deal of rust and there are holes in the dust bag. Have not yet dared to plug it in to see if the motor still works. As it was under $20 and I have 7 other vacuums it is not a big issue. It has a lot of style and does not look all that ugly to me.
Those were built to last.the good old days

LOL@Rose! Fortapache, I wish I still had my gran's canister vacuum. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :)
Pretty amazing that the vacuum cleaner, unlike other technologies ~ cell phone, computer, etc. ~ hasn't changed, essentially, in 100 years, even its appearance.
