I love this old newspaper regarding the deaths of Bonnie & Clyde. It is in such great condition, I cannot believe that it was published in 1934. I couldn't leave well enough alone and had to look up the name of the original owner/receiver of this particular paper and discovered that he was a member of the Pennsylvania House Of Representatives. I also found his photograph. I can envision him reading this newspaper with those stunning spectacles :).

    From the internet:
Bonnie Elizabeth Parker (October 1, 1910 – May 23, 1934) and Clyde Chestnut Barrow a.k.a. Clyde Champion Barrow (March 24, 1909 – May 23, 1934) were American criminals who traveled the central United States with their gang during the Great Depression, robbing people and killing when cornered or confronted. Their exploits captured the attention of the American public during the "Public Enemy Era," between 1931 and 1935. Though known today for their dozen-or-so bank robberies, the duo most often preferred to rob small stores or rural gas stations. The gang is believed to have killed at least nine police officers and several civilians. The couple was eventually ambushed and killed by law officers near Sailes, Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Their reputation was revived and cemented in American pop folklore by Arthur Penn's 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.

I dated(?) Bonnie(Fay Dunaway) as a kid. My sister had to bring that out when the movie came out.

Wow! It could've been Bonnie Parker if you would have been born two years earlier
:). You should tell us more about that experience.

More age jokes,eh ! My older sister was dating her brother & the parents stuck them with us to keep them doing anything. We didn't do anything either because we too young to know what to do. LOL ! They were a military family then & stationed at Ft McClellan, AL.
