These were made by Arnold in Germany. They are pretty neat in that they occasionally stop and make a "bang" as they are running, not to mention the flint sparkler and the metal tracks. The design was only vaguely based off of any vehicles, retaining an archaic multi-gun turret of much older designs.
The first has the pre-war style mufti colored camouflage, the second has the war-time gray camo, and the last has post war allied inspired British markings with new modernized turret. All of the hulls are identical, however, just some things moved around.
Thats an impressive collection you have. It must have taken alot of searching to find all those tanks. The only one I've ever come across was an old xmas picture with me and a similar tank from 1959.

RonM, I spent a long time going to yard sales, antique shops, and flea markets, but never was able to find this kind of stuff (meaning I came away empty handed most of the time). Turns out that this stuff is out there if you put in the time to find it, the wonders of the internet really come full circle in that regard.
A good amount of the things I've shown here (with exception to the lead soldiers) came in the last year or two. Just this last summer, a lot of really neat things came on the market. When it's something you haven't seen or know won't turn up for a long time, it really gets you excited. Otherwise it's just a matter of keeping a finger on the pulse of the market. You want to know when something turns up, which isn't so hard when you know where to look.
Right now things are pretty stale for me, not too much going on. Just waiting for the Christmas season prices to subside so I can try to get one or two things that I've been eying for a while.
With respect to my "lifetime" collection, this is just a small and resent addition. I've been picking things up here and there since my parents first took me to the local farmers market as a child. I'm a new kid on the collecting block, so to speak, but that's fine by me. Just means I can learn something from just about anyone.
