Love it!
Almost every can I see for Valor is rusty to some point. This one is from the early 1940's.
Seems like cans with one good side and one side rusty is common, I have quite a few like that but not a Valor, good find.
Maybe your on to something, it seems like all of the old metal Texaco cans around this area have bad spots in the front center [ 1 and 5 pound cans of grease],we think this is because the way they packed them in cases ,they all rubbed something and rusted? We may never know!!!!!!!!
The place I got this there was one more Valor can just like this but both sides of it were in pretty bad shape and I passed on it. Thanks for the dating jameyrd, I wasnt sure of when it was from (just knew I really liked it)
If the logo is damaged on both sides, I typically pass. After all, we have to have one good side to display!
