Nice RPPC of 2 WWI US Marines. Wearing their field green uniforms & Campaign hats. The destinctive pleated pockets of the Marine Corps Uniform can clearly be seen, as well as the E.G.A Cap device. No date on this card, how ever it is PRE WWI because no collar discs are worn. Marines wore Collar Brass much like the Army did starting in late 1918, and the Marine Corps made it official in 1919.
Also noted are the straight leg trousers tucket into the leggings, where Army soldiers wore breeches that were tapered and laced at the calf. Nice hard to find RPPC of Marines. Any photo or RPPC of US Marines are RARE and very difficult to find.....
