Here's a clock I bought at a yard sale for 80 bucks. The picture on the left is pretty much how I found it. It had about 4 coats of paint on it and hadn't run it quite some time. The picture on the right is the same clock after I stripped all the paint off of it and got it running like new. And yes--the self winder works like should. I used Howard Golden Oak Restore-A-Finish. Now the clock is as it was when it left the factory.
