Militarist

This is a photo of the Wisconsin National Guard 2nd Regiment Band of Marshfield taken during the early 1900's at summer camp. Notice all the brass instruments, the age range of the men and the fact that there are no officer musicians. No medals or ribbon bars can be seen though I'd bet a few of these men had earned the Long Service Medal for 15 years of service based on their looks.
