The Iowa family must have been very proud of their newly purchased ornamental parlor stove-- enough to make it the main attraction of this 1890 cabinet card photograph.

Photographed by Rickey of Indianola, Iowa. The woman is identified on the back as "Mother Lyde Anderson".

    They should be proud! I believe this a "Art Garland", a very exspensive stove of the period and a very rare stove today. You can see a advertising poster for this stove here
