This nice Davids New York ink bottle was dug in Savannah. This old dump was from the late 1870's to the early 1880's. The dump was found under an old warehouse. In the 1870's someone had dumped their trash to help filled in a low spot on the outside of the city limits. In the 1880's the dump was covered over with sand and a warehouse was built on top of it. In the mid 1980's the warehouse was torn down and the dump was rediscovered. This bottle is one of the many bottles that was retrieved from that dump.
