    I just picked this up at SA for FREE! A man was walking up to the store and I asked him what that was....he said "I don't you want it?" So hence here I have a piece of furniture that I am asking for help!
    The wooden washstand is small only about little under 4 feet tall and looks to be hand carved and the legs are stunning!!! The bowl looks to be solid Copper...and heavy..HELP! The Wooden thing is very light weight..and you can blow it over ....

      I would think the bowl would have been porcelain originally & the water jug sat on the bottom shelf.

      In the 1980's the store I worked in sold hundreds of reproduction washstands like this, made by AA Importing. I personally asembled them. They came shipped in a flat box. To determine weather yours is a reproduction, try unscrewing the bottom feet. If it is joined with a modern threaded bolt, it is most like a modern reproduction. Here is a similar listing.
