This was my weekend find for this week. This is my first round thermometer. I have been a little nervous about getting one because everytime I see one, something seems off or price is to high or the face is plastic. I know there are a ton of repops out there. I felt ok about this one, hopefully I did ok. It has a glass front. A little wear but in good shape. What are some of the signs of repops on these round red thermos? Were there ever any originals with plastic fronts? I notice the book states that all the examples shown are glass fronts. Thanks.
Looks good to me! Nice thermometer. I'm not aware there are reproductions of this version which aren't obviously so. I've seen them with additional "100-year Anniversary" print for example.
