I'm being a little Dramatic or as my wife would say (Drama Queen) in my heading about these seldom mentioned or shown Paperweight Vases that were popular in the 1950's. This set, I was told, was given as a wedding present to the elderly couple I got them from. I thought at the time that it must have been a paupers wedding but after examining these examples, I've come to the realization that they were quite special and maybe they were made in well known glasshouses in Italy or Bohemia. There is a lot going on with them, especially the little detailed Flower Baskets in the base and the Blue & white swirls in the vase section. I looked them up on-line and saw many that had bubbles in the bases and were usually clear or all one colour. Have any of you come across these particular Paperweight Vases or would you know who made these. Thanks, RER (BOB)

I had one with controlled bubbles in the base, but I don't know who made.

May we have a base shot ?

Hi there -- In my Opinion these are Chinese Art Glass. No way is this Murano art glass, as the Flower is a dead give way to it being Chinese....and the Bubbles are just bubbles -- not controlled bubbles

Here is an example of Controlled Bubbles:
