Porcelain Bowl~Mid Century, Beautiful Shape, Large, Signed~Any Info Welcome

Hello,
This is another beautiful piece from yesterday's estate sale, ( only this piece I purchased today,.....I went back :).
It was displayed in the dark foyer of an amazing waterfront house on an exquisite hand made table set in the middle of the stone paved room,..........it glowed.
I knew the woman who had lived there, an artist, printmaker, photographer, film maker,......she had some fantastic things, incredible weavings, lots of gorgeous well worn rugs, a great library, lots and lots of art, and an upstairs studio that looked out on the ocean,....she was a true bohemian. I met her at the art store that I managed for 24 years, that was years ago,....she would be in her 90's now.
This piece is so beautiful, it's like an envelope for sound. It's large, and tapered to a thin, strong, edge, so much like a shell. Happily it has survived the years intact.
There's a signature on the bottom, but I can't make it out. My guess is that it was made 40 to 50 years ago,( relating it to everything else in the house that seemed of that vintage )
