While we were living in Paraguay we had some pet Toucans that I raised from chicks and learned to dearly love. Birds have great personalities just like cats & dogs and can be very affectionate. When I saw this beautiful carpet piece at a garage sale in Kauai, I just had to buy it to remind me of my Toco Toucans of years ago. The carpet actually was made in Costa Rica I was told. Like many things I collect, they bring great memories with them.
Collections are better when they are linked with good memories.
Exactly & that's why I often say; "the fun is in the hunt" because my experiences along the way are usually unforgettable as well as the people we meet along the way

That beautiful wall hanging took hours to make...wait, did you say carpet? ;)
Yes it is made of carpet material but designed to be a wall hanging. Sort of like a crude tapestry I think? We love it
