    No idea what it is but its from costal Maine

    Was thinking something to do with quilts or nets

    The Crank on the side index's the arc in the inner section and the left most piece slides back and forth on the rails and index's in the slots on the bottom

      From Maine? Probably an old lobster sheller. Then again, with a few more pictures showing how it can be adjusted might help. It appears to be highly adjustable for something!
