i bought this really heavy ingot of something yesterday at urban ore. it's a little less than 4.5" long by a little less than 3" wide and .75 inches deep. it weighs a lot for it's size! any ideas?

      Could it be lead?

thank you jscotto363. i think it's way too hard for lead. it is soft, but a little harder than silver, i'd say.

Do you have a test kit? Looks like a silver compound to me. You can get a test kit for around 20 bucks. I love mine

this never fails to shock people when they pick it up as it's extremely heavy for it's size. i'm terrible at estimating, but it weighs something between 5 and 10 pounds.

maybe. kind of looks like it. why would they make pewter into an ingot though?
