    I assume that this is from the 1950s by that pink color. Signed 'Made in Calif' and a 906. it measures about 10 inches across. any info much appreciated!

      You might try Gainey, looks like their hallmark. Love the vintage color and vibe! :)

      thank you Katherinescollections! i have a lot of Gainey and never knew they made stuff like this piece! i have the plain, well-made planters - dozens of them in all sizes.

      Lot of similar hallmarks from the 50s and 60s California potteries, so this may not be Gainey, does look like their mark, though.

      Hard to follow that but ...very unlikely that this is Gainey. Like said above, several companies marked their ware in a similar way and those companies also made quite similar products. You might try Lane & Co., Miramar, California Originals, or Treasure Craft / Pottery Craft (two names - same company).

      Don't be too disappointed if you can't find much information about any of those companies. I think there's a Treasure Craft book but it's probably out of print.
