I found these two in a box with older pocket watches dating 1904 and 1912. Not sure if this was art someone did, or a fad? Any information on this?

Cute story. But this isn't a modern "steampunk" piece. I am trying to date the era in which it was made by the dolls clothing and attire. I would say in the 30s or so. . . could be similar to or the person who made these might have been inspired by Hitty Dolls, although this doll is made of beads and such. The Illinois Watch Co is a company that has replacement parts for pocket watches. I am gonna try to dismantle one of these little guys and see if there are any serial codes. . .
any ideas on when these were produced?
The Illinois Watch Case Co. started in Chicago in 1886 and, within a few years, moved to Elgin, IL. It continued making cases until the 1940s.
The second case is marked Philadelphia Watch Case Co with a crown trademark and "Silverode" which is nickle 191499. would that be year 1914 : 99?
Now the dolls, they are wearing the same outfit, dresses and bloomers, little bead hands and heads, the feet are just looped thread.
So we can safely say that these were pre 1950 repurposed art?
You are right. I just would really like to get rid of these things. I was hoping I could date them. I dont know what to do with them now. Maybe give them out as presents.
