    1930 Black & Decker 6" saw
    Anybody out there have any info ?
    Its my favorite saw in my collection .
    Original condition , its has been cleaned up some thou
    I think the label may have had red paint around the writing as I've seen some old Black & Decker drills from this era that have red paint on the labels

      I think it may be 1928 maybe earlier ? Just cant find anything on it really

      If you look up the last patent number on this (Last one will be newest) 1574020 you will find an "A" patent. It was published in 1926, Filed for in 1923 which means nothing. The serial number on this has a leading "A" which may relate to the patent with an "A" I didn't read it all but will post the link in the event you wish to do more research. Keep in mind this patent is an amendment for the cord but both the cord and the patent appear in your picture. Therefore it assigns an approximate date to the saw.
