    This 3.75 inch (10Cm) tall cigar/cigarette lighter was made in Germany. The second photo displays faintly its maker's mark. If anyone can decipher this, I'd appreciate it very much.

    The interesting mechanism of the lighter itself still works, but it needs fluid, and perhaps a flint.

    I obtained this fascinating item at a rummage sale for a very low price!

      Not a maker's mark, but a mark saying in German that it is a patented:
      gesetzlich geschützt

      There is just a "Made In Germany" stamp below.

      Hi, jscotto....thanks. This item caught my attention immediately when I noticed it at the sale!

      Today is 1/2 price day at the Volunteers of America Thrift Store....I'm hoping to return from there with some interesting "treasures" :)
