    from the ebay.fr lot

i've learned i'm actually garbage at trying to read stylized cursive french and cannot make out anything on the back. if anyone can make anything out, please chip in!!

actress, opera, or courtesan, i cannot figure out who this is, but she has quite a look to her that seems to state she is likely one of the aforementioned.

The signature might be "E. Berger" and mention is made of a director named Valain.

      She sure has 'tude!

      Great! It reads:
      Souvenir d'amitié
      a notre regisseur
      Valain
      E Bergez
Meaning: In memory of frendship, to our director Valain. E.Bergez

I think this is might be the same actress: http://art.rmngp.fr/fr/library/artworks/andre-adolphe-eugene-disderi_mlle-bergez_epreuve-sur-papier-albumine_1866

Olof! You got it! I was searching for Bouffes Parisiens theater actresses, E.BERGEZ , but nothing... The key was Mlle, for Mademoiselle :-)

Thanks and thank you for posting! Fun mysteries to solve, these CDV's! The "z" in Bergez gave it away... Hope you have some more in store. :)

So that's how you deciphered it! Oh man I would've never gotten a "b" out of those first letters. I'll be posting them probably later this week so you're in luck because I have several more! Thanks again olofz!
