I got these 2 irons along with the slug iron I posted yesterday. The base of the first is 4.5 inches long. It is embossed with a number 1 and "Hardings patent safety grip". I suppose the 4 narrow bars stopped the handle from over heating.
The second iron is 4.75 inches long and is made by Kenrick with their name embossed and the number 2. The base is curved rather than flat. I think this shape was for ironing cuffs.
