The Midland Great Western Railway of Ireland was one of two companies serving my home town and ceased to exist as an independent company after the 1925 amalgamations. My Grandfather joined it in 1924. My Great-Grandfather also worked for "The Midland" as did many other members of my family. After many years trying to get one of these signs I finally got this one in 2014.
