This appears to be blue milk glass, but it is more like white glass with a glaze of blue glass on the exterior. My best guess is French, but I need help figuring it out. Anyone know about this piece?

I believe this was made by Westmoreland Glass. I have one in milk glass.

This is known as "Argonaut Shell" by Westmoreland. Do you see the WG marking? I believe mine just has the WG on the lid.

Thank you! But I don't see any markings on it anywhere...

this one looks more like the #3828 'Shell and Dolphin' by Vallérysthal & Portieux to me, as it appears that the shells are touching. Westmoreland made a very similar design but the shells are separated.

I love milk glass and this is no exception. It's great. The 'guys' here are good, better than any encyclopaedia :)
