      The 925 indicates the metal is sterling silver, which is defined as 925 parts out of 1,000 silver, 925/1000, where 1000 = pure silver. Some of the others may stop by & give you more detailed information. Bet they look beautiful on the ear.

      Right and those look like garnets. That's also a birthstone for January. Very pretty.

      Aren't they elegant!. I can see the marcasite which probably dates these to 50s/60s. Are the red stones glass do you think?
