Original signed 1971 Hippie Art Pipe with sgraffito

Something I received last week from the original artist in North Carolina. A Hippie Pipe for smoking - that is all the explanation required - created in Ceramic Class at an Eastern University, flat bottom signed by LOIS and dated 1971 on bottom. The sgraffito imagery is wonderful period art with a cat, flower and eyeball. I wonder if the professor asked what it was or if he or she was invited over for a functionality test, and damn - I forgot to ask Lois. I'm bad, I'm bad... Size is approximately 7 inches long, 2 1/2 inches tall, and the bowl 2 1/2 inches wide. She says it was "Yes, it was used, but not very much." and I will take her word for that.
