Canadian Bond Boyd Gold-Washed Sterling Brooch

One more addition to my Bond Boyd collection: A delicate vintage brooch.
The brooch needs some cleaning but is otherwise in excellent condition.

Over the years I have acquired a nice number of Bond Boyd brooches, pins, and necklaces. I have a feeling that I am the only one collecting them! They are usually cheap, at least in comparison. Sometimes they can be found in the junk section because the mark on the back is often barely visible. I have found only one gold filled brooch, all the others are sterling with a rhodium plating or sterling with a gold wash, like this one.

Bond Boyd is a Canadian company (http://www.bondboydcorporate.com/history-of-bond-boyd) and has been around since the 1940's.

Personally, I like only some of their jewelry. I have passed on pieces that were, in my eyes, not very well designed but generally I can spot a Bond Boyd piece from far away - and I get it if the price is right.
