Happy New Year 2018

I really liked how our pastor put it in his sermon today: Let us make a New Year Transformation, not a New Year Resolution.

Indeed: Rather than just 'resolve' as the bottom-left of this early 1900s post-card shows, let us actually put forth into action a change in us (done best with faithful obedience to the ways of the Lord Jesus) for this coming New Year. Let us display to ourselves and to others that we seek betterment, rather than waste life doing nothing to improve ourselves or the lives of others.

Transform-- it is your choice-- rather than just wish. Wishing gets you no where. Action, applied in the right ways and areas, works. So do, not just want.
