Hello. Pictured is a piece of pottery which I purchased for the detail, texture, and colors. It appears to be without much age, but I enjoy having it as part of my small collection..

Yes, art.pottery, but the artist's name appears to have been purposefully removed. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to reveal the name by placing a sheet of paper over the area and lightly rubbing the paper with a pencil lead. I remain puzzled as to why anyone would remove an artist's name from his/her work.
