Heavy Vintage Metal and Plastic Bracelet

This bracelet looks a lot more impressive in real life. It is very heavy and well made. Because it is unmarked, I have been searching for a long time to find out more about it, but so far without any results.

The pattern on the clasp reminds me of D&E but the style doesn't fit. I also checked Selro - no match either. Who else made bracelets like this? I guess there must have been a number of makers around the middle of the last century.
