Each foot has a set of dots on the bottom. One has two, one has three, and one has four dots in a row. I would love to know the origin and age of this piece.

For old pieces that have to be assembled, they are usually marked with dots, Arabic numerals, file marks and other marks that match up with the place the part fits. After a few beers or tokes, this process can turn into a very enjoyable afternoon (or week, if your incentive was really good). LOL !!
