My grandmother engagement ring

I’ve had this ring for over 25 years and she didn’t wear if for as long as I can remember. They must have been engaged in the 1930s. I love it because it’s neat and tidy. Unfortunately the main diamond has been replaced by a brilliant cut which doesn’t fit with the timing of the ring so id love to have replaced with a stone more fitting of the era.
