In 1907 Empire Bottling Co. is incorporated with $5000 capitol stock by Louis Schnellman, John T Guis, Joseph Schnellman, Emil Schnellman and Joseph Guis to manufacture and deal in carbonated and mineral waters.
From 1909 to 1916 Empire is located at 7300 Vermont Street.
There is no listing for Empire in 1917 & 1918.
In 1919 Empire is listed at 515 Robert Avenue. (not sure why)
From 1920 - 1922 Empire is now listed back at 7300 Vermont.
My source for city directories from 1923-1928 was limited to a few pages.
In 1929, Empire is at 518 West Robert Avenue. 1933 tells me the name is now the Empire Soda Water Co. at the 518 West Robert address. Louis Schnellman jr. and Herman Burkemper are listed as owners.
Frank Schnellman (Louis Jr.’s brother is now president of the Western Mineral Water Co.)
