Found this in an online estate auction box that was $2.35. Beautiful beige and black floral with the gold dots- like moriage. Has a scenic print of windmill and boats, reeds on back. Floral is really beautiful at rim. It is 2 Handled, Handpainted, 8 1/2" tall by 6 wide, and marked Nippon.
Any ideas about design, maker or value appreciated. Cannot find a similar brown/beige in color. Really a pretty piece.

The band of trim near the top is beautiful.
I noticed that nothing shows a bit of wear except on the handle. I think that is painted in such a way as to portray wear. Just that single notation makes me suspicious about its age, just in case there was a claim from the seller of it being really old.
But having said that, it's beautifully painted and it would be a pleasure to own! And for the price, you got a great deal!
