    Found this little guy in a dusty corner of a closing antique shop. I haven’t a clue who made it but I find it’s odd, 6” x 4 1/2” x 4” shape quite lovely!

      Thank you for the interesting info and the link to the thread. It’s great to learn about these “remnants from the past.”

      I’m so hopeful someone will recognize this one. I (surprisingly) recently stumbled upon one exactly like it being sold as part of an estate. I of course reached out to the seller/owner and he was as perplexed as I. Back to square one! I’m just so intrigued by, like you pointed out, the horizontal vs. vertical ribs.
