Newbie in the house... not sure how I'm doing (though I think better than a few months ago - steep learning curve!). I purchased this celluloid badge "buy it now" for $160+ ouch $17 shipping. Seller listed as 40's-50's, but I'm thinking maybe late 30's? "Trade Mark Reg U.S. Pat. Off" printed within tail of C. It's similar to one listed in Petretti's 12th valued $375. I welcome any comments from You Good Folks. No hazing please! :) Thanks.

I think it is from 1938 and an excellent buy for the $177 you paid. You seldom see this version.

Thanks. I hope I'm making up for some poor decisions early on. Finding this web site has been a big help. I appreciate your input.

If it us bright and unfaded, you did good. These signs are one of those few items today that actually go for close to Allan's valuation. At 375 it is a much harder sign to find than the price indicates. I think I paid around 2 for mine. While these certainly aren't considered "rare" they certainly are fairly scarce to locate. The 50's celluloid with the bottle and the late 40's one with delicious and refreshing in all caps, are a very easy to come by.
