Great bench, I have never seen one. I would date it to circa 1927.
It is from the 1970's
Your poster is from the late 1940's and has had the bottom trimmed off, it should go all the way down and show their feet. Value is difficult since it has been trimmed. The tray is from 1957.
What a great find, and looks to be in wonderful condition. Congrats.
Has been on ebay for as little as $.99 with no bids
I believe it is from the 1980's. I had one of these also years ago.
I agree with Ray
I believe it is from around 1940. A good way of dating an item is the placement of the trademark. I think they moved it to under the logo in 1942 as you can see from looking at serving trays from tha...
That is definitely before 1937, I agree with earlycoke that it is pre 1915
I have collected over 35 years and have never seen that before
What you have is part of a shadow box sign from the late 1940's. The entire sign is shown on page 279 of Petretti's price guide, 12th edition.
Your sign is from the early 1950's and made by the American Art Works in Coshocton Ohio, the same company that made many of the serving trays from the 20's through the 50's.
My guess is that it is from the late 1920's.
For a 14 year old, you are doing very well. That is around the age I started collecting too. I commend you on purchasing no reproductions.
Your tray is a 1970's reproduction of a 1925 tray. The original did not have the bottle in the lower right corner.
The oldest one is the red rim with silver border. It is from 1950 to about 1952. The brown rim is a 1970's reproduction of a 1925 tray. You can tell by the bottle in the lower right which is not on th...
I think it is from 1938 and an excellent buy for the $177 you paid. You seldom see this version.
I agree with Cocacolakid97, looks to be a nice clean example of a popular sign.
I would leave it as it is. Repainting will decrease its' value. Did you find a date inside on the motor?
To date the sign, if you open the back door where the motor is for the motion, the motor is usually dated with a month and a year, something like 3-54 for March of 1954. Let us know.
I think they are both from the 1950's or early 60's.
