    Engineering school compass set made in Chicago Illinois. I believe this was my Grandfathers set. The case a bit worn however the instruments are all in good order and present.

      Its a nice (and complete!) set of 'drafting tools', from the era when technical drawings/blueprints/construction plans were actually hand drawn by 'draftsmen' -- real people sitting at large angled tables covered with sheets of paper, along with these (and an assortment of other) items.

      I remember these well from 2 years of drafting class and a brief job drawing tax maps back around 1973.
