    Vintageadv…
    (7 items)

The first one is sterling diver and I bought it at an estate sale 10 years ago and I would love it if anyone can tell me what it means and where it came from. It’s a early 19 c brooch and that’s all I know. The ring is from Thailand stamped Barse inside its turquoise and I believe gold but it’s not stamped anything is great I have tried looking up it no luck don’t want value just info on origin and history if possible.

For the round one the language around it is Norwegian, use google translate to see what it say, interesting piece.

This was a very easy search...
      I found the exact brooch...
      "Birkebeinerne Skiers"
      Antique Norwegian "hand wrought"
There should be a stamp of "830s" with an anchor preceding it.
Silver stamped with 830s was prior to 1871.
Either yours is very hard to see, ( try a loupe) or non- existent, reproduction? (I certainly hope not, sure doesn't look to be) or worn off from age?
The brooch is based on the "Ancient Norwegian Saga of King Haakon"
Now that that's out of the way.. It's a beautiful antique brooch, unique, what a wonderful find!
      And welcome to CW!

As for your ring, sorry, not gold.
Barse jewelry is mass produced...even on HSN
It is a pretty design, and the color of the turquoise is nice!
