My lovely unknown Holly & Berry Chocolate set. I used to collect early 1900 H.Laughlin Holly & Berry china. My favorite was always the ones marked "Germany". Once in a great while i'll see a piece. But not often. Now it's nearly impossible to find any more of early holly/berry pattern. I've seen a couple of pieces on Ebay this week. These do match what i collect.
This set was a fortunate purchase from a thrift shop. As lovely as it is the base looks kind of messy. The gold on the base is a bit smeared. Doesn't look like it was finished properly as a retail sale item. Other than that it's just what I love.
I've been looking for any other pieces that would go with this to no avail. I'm wondering if it's Bavaria made? There really isn't any mark on the base. The orange is something that was removed I think and left bits of it.

If you HAVE A PIECE OF THIS EXACT PATTERN, please send a photo. AND if it is marked pass along that information please.

My first thought was German. It looks very Christmassy. It does look to have some age to it, but as you say, a bit messy on the base. It would be so much easier if everyone marked their bases!
