    Hello everyone!!
Here's a bronze Dachshund sculpture from my collection. He's so wonderfully detailed in every way. Though not old, he is a really nice collectible. He measures 17" long and 9" tall. He weighs in at 12 lbs.

Thank you all for stopping in for a look!!!

    Scott

He's really a beauty Scott, and the detailing & body shaping are so perfect, I would expect to hear a bark from this true to life pup

      Hi keramikos,
Thanks for the comment. I agree that most dogs have been bred for a purpose. We've had Dachshunds for the past 27 years, or so. They are most definitely earth dogs. Most folks think of Dachshunds as ankle biters, but ours have been nothing but loving and gentle. Though, when our little chocolate/tan longhair dachshund, Carly, barks she really sounds fierce.

      keramikos,
We had a flexible drain pipe in our backyard once, just for one of our Dachshunds to run thru. He loved that. I guess it reminded him of tunneling after the badgers. It was his favorite outdoor toy.

I had a “weenie dog” when I was in elementary school..his name was “Foo-Foo”
( thought he was a poodle)

We've had 4 Dachshunds, all smooth coat males except for the one we currently have, a chocolate/tan long hair female. Incidentally, my oldest son has a full size black poodle named Nelson.
