We bought this small lamp shade a while back (20+ years ago) because we liked the orange spots set off against the meandering dark striations and milky hues. Since then, all of our attempts to identify a maker have failed. The inside is satin (acid etched?) and the shape is fairly irregular with a ground top.

We thought it might be made in Bohemia in the early twentieth century, but this is just a guess.

Any idea who might of made this shade and what period it is from?

Still hoping someone might hazard a guess on this one. Possible period/maker?

I have no idea of the maker, but the colors used, and the quality of finishing on the fitter edge would lead me to believe that this is much newer glass (last 30 years or so).

I've seen a strikingly similar décor on a vase by Rick Hunter, Brea, California.

sklo42, thanks this is super helpful. The timing is right. We purchased this at a street antique fair in the Bay Area 20+ years ago, and he started producing art glass around 1986 and selling it at fairs in California. The style definitely looks similar to other work by him on the web. Thanks for the great lead!
