I found this yesterday with some other great items. I have been wanting one of these. Actually wanted the glass ones though. But haven't wanted to spend the money I have seen them for. This one confuses me. I see the crank to grind it. But don't see a hole that it comes out once ground. Others I have seen, have a small cup under to catch the grounds. So I'm not sure about this one. But any how I got it for the right price to bring home. Maybe I'll trade it in for partial payment on a glass one. Thanks for looking. I'll try to figure it out later with some beans.

Antique Universal ~0012~ Coffee Mill - Landers, Frary & Clark ~ Patented 1905

Universal Coffee Mill # 0012, all original and in excellent condition. It was manufactured by the Landers, Frary & Clark Co., New Britain , Connecticut , U.S.A. The Patent date is February 14, 1905 . The coffee mill is about 12½" from top of canister to cup below, and from the wall to tip of handle measures about 9½". ~Just a little history on Landers, Frary & Clark Co.~ The number of products manufactured by Landers over the years was enormous and their scope amazing. They made stainless steel bull-nose rings and electric ranges, kitchen scales and vacuum bottles, window hardware and ice skates, mouse traps and percolators, can openers, cutlery and aluminum cookware, and thousands of other products.

BTW, I was a bit confused by your reference to a glass model.

Is it perhaps the Landers, Frary & Clark/Universal coffee maker that you're interested in?:

Thank you so much! I didn't see that it has a spot for a cup holder. I like it more! Now on to finding a cup for it.

      Lamplover78, You're welcome. :-)

A search for glass coffee grinder produced some hits. Mostly, they seem to incorporate mason-style jars?:

This is a glass, wall-mounted grinder. As we know, it’s best to keep your beans in a vault that doesn’t allow the sun to enter. This is still a beautiful old grinder.

I see what you mean, though. The ones for sale tend to be pricey.

The Mason style jars is what I was talking about. They are called crystal brand. I have two where I work. But I got this one for $10. I'm pretty happy about that! Thanks for your help
