I'm thinking this might be a Greek revival ceramic wine decanter because of the subject matter - grapes and vines - and the narrow opening at the top. Could it have held a cork? It's glazed on the inside. Beautifully decorated with nice detail and glazed painting. Obviously, the background of the body is not glazed or painted. The glazed lion handle is very dark green. The face under the handle is most interesting. Under the spout (although not included in these photos) is a man helping another man, almost carrying him. I can't decide if he is injured or intoxicated, thus requiring assistance to stay upright and walk. Bottom marked in black Czecho-Slovakia., impressed Czechoslovakia, impressed 39, hand incised A, and handwritten in black with what looks like a 2. What do you think? In your opinion, is it a wine decanter or a standard pitcher? Maybe 1920 or so? And I wonder who made it. It's 7.75" high and 8" long from the tip of the spout to the interesting man's nose at the end. Looking forward to your thoughts.

I have no idea if you have found anything else but by chance I came across this website:

Thank you again, mp.kunst! No, I haven't found anything remotely like this since you provided the first link for Live Auctioneers. So, there are several of these ewers in existence. I found mine at a thrift store with generous donors of high quality items. I paid $14 for it. Again, thank you. And regarding the mask, the link you provided did respond this week to say it was a poor attempt at carving an African mask.
