    The material feels like a hard plastic/rubber of sorts..measures approx 2.75". I am totally clueless on this one!! any help IDing this GREATLY appreciated!

      anyone have a clue as to this type of brooch and or it's material? it's quite unusual, to me!!

      A very pretty brooch! My guess is that the leaves are made of a resin. You can search engine "resin flower brooch" to compare structure. Quite a few designers have made/make such brooches, but I can't find one that has a similar back as your brooch with integrated pin. I might be mistaken, but from the second photo I guess there may have been a tag on the back once? The center looks a bit less tarnished.

      Yes Parrot there probably was a tag at one time....it feels like a hardened plastic vs resin...maybe! Idk this is a stumper!
