I was gifted this ring by my partner and would love to know more about the style. It was bought at an antique shop in South Africa

It's a very pretty ring. It is hard to see from the pictures but to me it looks like sterling silver with marcasite and maybe a garnet in the center (Is the stone dark red?). I would guess the ring is marked "925". Are there any other marks?
It's just my my opinion but I think the way the marcasites are set makes the ring vintage, not antique. I have some similar pieces and some were made in Germany in the first half of the 1900's and some others were Asian imports copying pretty much the style but dating just a few decades back.

Try to Google: art deco sterling marcasite and garnet rings

Thank you so much. I'm pretty sure it is sterling as it is marked 925…the stone is a very deep red, My thoughts were garnet too, but I might have a gemologist take a look(Asian rip off!?) I have searched the web tirelessly but haven't found anything similar.
