A FUN day today helping to "clean out" somebody else's (former, most grungy indeed but no matter that) house -- the instructions being: "take anything you want, it's all gotta GO!!" ;-) :-) :-)

Amongst the "junk" duly recovered/rescued (several milk crates full+ with probably more to come...stay tuned...) here's just the first thing that was convenient for pics.

A glass washboard, measuring about 12" x 24". Obviously well 'washed' itself, all that's left of its lettering seems to read "STANDARD WASHBOARD No. 2039 [?] Manufactured by COLUMBUS WASHBOARD CO. COLUMBUS, OHIO". Truth be told, I didn't even notice the remnants of that lettering until taking these pics...when it was found it went *immediately* into the back of the truck, without much further inspection at the moment...? <LOL>

TOTALLY AGREE 'Stuff -- 'grungy' is often the mostest-funnest place to find good old crap?!! <lol> (another small truckload from the same house today even, and still no doubt more to discover...) ALSO agreeing w/ Broochman, though he probably played a metal one?? ;-) :-)

THANKS SO MUCH to both of 'ya for your fun comments, also to bobby725, Watchsearcher, fortapache, Newfld, Brunswick, officialfuel, aura, & jscott0363 for stopping by with the <love it>s for my first 'washboard'...now what am I gonna *do* with it now that I've gots it...?? <LOLOL>
